A lovingly curated moment for your guests in the form of a timeless piece of fine art.

A proud Atlanta based live event artist and Georgia native holds up her finished watercolor portrait of the bride and groom at an elegant wedding taking place at the Whitlock Inn in Marietta.

A truly bespoke, 100% personalized, luxury gift experience for your closest family and friends.

Why incorporate live art into your event?

It all begins with your vision. You’re hoping to create an atmosphere on your wedding day of little heartfelt, thoughtful moments and gestures for those whom you cherish most on this earth, all of them gathered together in one place for the first time for the soul purpose of celebrating with you. That means pulling together so many little details: from the taste of the first hors’deurve, to the pop of color and scent in your bouquet, and yes, even a small gift that your family and friends can take home with them. A token of your appreciation for a lifetime of love received.

It is my passion to help make that happen, and I take great pride in making the process and communication with my brides feel easy and being willing to execute your unique, custom requests. I make over-the-top feel effortless. By the time the ceremony and cocktail hour have commenced, and we finally meet each other after months of corresponding back and forth, it will feel like we’ve been friends for a long time. :)

Not only do live watercolor guest illustrations cover that custom keepsake item, they also create a unique, fun, and interactive experience for your guests. Your family and friends will be blown away as they approach my table and see bespoke artwork unfolding before them in real time, from sketch to mixed paint colors to one of a kind painting. I enjoy chatting about how it works and answering questions, engaging with your loved ones and making the experience fun. Each little portrait they take home is a true-to-life resemblance of its muse.

Elegant. Intentional. Unforgettable.

“Jessy was a dream to work with! She is very thoughtful and talented!”

Party favors shouldn’t be forgettable.

They can be memorable and last a lifetime instead. Inviting a live wedding painter to capture your guests' likenesses in the form of watercolor guest sketches is the most effective way to cultivate a unique and luxury guest experience that will leave your family and friends in awe of your thoughtfulness and talking about your event for months after. They will be delighted when they first recognize themselves on paper. Years later, they will look back on the portrait and recall how they celebrated you on your special day.

 FAQs

  • Any interested guest can walk up and take a photo with us. They can then enjoy the festivities while I work through painting the photos in order. Portraits are packaged up in clear protective sleeves and displayed for guests to pick up before they leave.

  • Each individual portrait takes about 6 minutes, so I can complete about ten individuals per hour. I recommend at least 4 hours of artist presence when possible. Not every guest will request a portrait, but that gives enough time to complete most of those interested guests.

  • One option is to select my premier package which includes completion of all remaining guest photos in the week following your event + shipping of those portraits to you to be included in your thank you notes or hand delivered to those guests. The second option is to commission paintings of a select number of those remaining photos after the event, which I will paint for an added studio fee. Otherwise, in my experience, this service is more about the fun, interactive experience for guests and the enjoyment of seeing live artists work their magic. We do explain the process to each guest who takes a photo so that they will know what to expect, and guests seem to understand that a limited number of guests will receive a portrait by the evening’s end.

  • My distinctive realistic style (even when “faceless”) makes my portraits high-end and recognizable across events. My entire focus as a watercolor artist over these past eight years has been on detailed, highly lifelike portraiture. That means, capturing a subject in a style true to their likeness. These are not rushed, tiny cartoons or caricatures where every figure has the same generalized shape and outline. Each of my custom guest sketches will look different from the last, because each guest IS different from the last! Not only do I enjoy capturing a person’s essence and personality, I’m OBSESSED with the details. From the cheekbones to the heart shaped face to the widow’s peak, you will look distinctly you. So while I have perfected the process so that I can work quickly, my portraits will be easily recognizable and true to each person: Mini works of art that you’ll want to frame and hold onto forever.

  • In order to ensure that the most possible guests receive a portrait, I can paint each guest one time. Whether that be in a portrait with your significant other, a friend, or solo is totally up to you!

  • The only thing I need from the venue is a table and chair at which to paint and display drying portraits. You may want to consider having my table match the rest of your event’s aesthetic. (Think coordinated tablecloth, floral arrangement or candles, etc.) This can all be arranged ahead of time obviously so that there is NOTHING for you to think or worry about on the day of your event. I bring everything else with me including the supplies and materials necessary for creating and packaging portraits and necessary lighting. I do NOT need access to an electrical outlet.

  • No! Again, I don’t even need access to an electrical outlet. It really could not be simpler to hire a live guest illustrator.

  • I love any opportunity to paint outside! It is prudent to place my table under a tent, on a patio, under cover of some kind in case of rain. Since these are painted in watercolor, is essential to be keep the portraits from getting wet which would ruin them.

  • Any location within an hour’s drive of Marietta, GA has travel included in the base quote. Anything outside of the North-metro Atlanta area would incur a small fee for transit time or overnight stay when necessary, but I will make any added cost clear and up front when creating your package quote.

  • No! I actually love being able to accommodate unique requests - it’s a big part of doing custom artwork. In the past, I have added complimentary personalization such as a bride and groom’s initials, guest names, the venue/date of the event, a custom thank you note, you name it.

  • The booking process is super simple. I will send a simple contract that outlines all of your event’s details and payment options for you to look over and sign. I ask a deposit of half of the total price up front to reserve the date. Once I have a signed contract and a deposit, your date is reserved and we are all set until the wedding week!
