A while back, I sat down to choose a few words that sum up my approach to live guest portraits (and custom artwork in general). While "refined" and "unique" were also high on the list, there was one word that felt more important than the rest: Effortless.

My Down to Earth Approach // Custom work often gets a bad rap for being complicated, but I believe the process can be incredibly simple when you set clear expectations. As a down to earth, Southern girl at my core, my mission is to make the experience of bringing live art to your wedding day or special event as stress-free and full of ease as possible, from the first DM to final portrait delivery.

I want my clients to know exactly what I can deliver—and with that, comes being up front and clear on what is not realistic. Some things are a physical impossibility, like live painting 150 guests in 4 hours). By being transparent about the logistics up front, I can ensure you have the coverage you need, meaning an additional artist or an add-on of post-event portrait completion, and I can focus on surprising you with little "extras" you didn't see coming.

Exceeding the Promise // When you book with Fig and Font, I want you to feel that I am the most low-maintenance vendor on your team. I literally handle everything after we’ve booked. Besides the table and chair at which I’ll sit, I bring everything else with me! Nothing is required from you in order to bring live guest portrait magic to your day! My favorite feedback to read in a review or a final correspondence email is: “Jessy was so easy to work with and was so accommodating!”

Whether we are adding a puppy and a soccer ball to the front yard of a custom watercolor house portrait or hand-lettering guest names on every painting at your North Georgia wedding, I want you to love the process as much as the final product.
